Changing a few glyphs in a set of several fonts which must work in a printed environment as well as on several digital platforms can be a challenging task. For the Zurich based design agency Büro4, we worked on several existing SBB fonts, integrating newly redesigned pictograms by Büro4. The task was to reduce sign widths to enable combination with train numbers without changing the global dimensions.
