Apeloig Type Library
For the French graphic designer Philippe Apeloig, we developed a type library consisting of ten typefaces. ‘Apeloig Type Library’ is a hitherto unprecedented collection of typefaces of unique expressiveness. Philippe Apeloig, famous for his typographic posters, often created the characters he needed for his poster designs. Outgoing from a selection of his works, Nouvelle Noire digitized existing letters and completed the missing letters into ten full working fonts. The Apeloig Type Library was launched and exhibited in November 2013 on the occasion of the exhibition ‘Typorama’ to which we contributed with a typographic wall. The exhibition took place in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
